My name is Bart Bossink. I live in Wassenaar, together with my girlfriend Tereza, have two beautiful daughters (26 and 27), including a bonus son and bonus daughter (18 and 20). I have been working at KUBO for almost 3 years now. Before this, I held various management positions at different companies and was mainly involved in improvement projects. I started as a Staff Manager in 2022 and in September last year I made the switch to ESG Manager. That was a hit. I get to deal with a very topical and impactful subject and, as ESG Manager, I get the opportunity to integrate sustainability, social responsibility and good governance into the core of our business operations. This not only gives me satisfaction, but also shows me that we can really make a difference.
Working at an innovative company like KUBO means that I am regularly challenged to come up with creative solutions. From developing strategies to reduce our CO₂ emissions to implementing or commissioning social projects that have an impact on our own organisation and on our end customers: no day is the same. It is inspiring to see how colleagues in different departments get involved and strive together towards the same goal.
What I particularly appreciate is the open culture within our company and the short lines of communication. Ideas are valued and promising plans are put into action relatively quickly. This encourages cooperation and innovation, which is crucial for making sustainable progress. Working in this role makes me realise every day that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand. Together, we not only build a successful business, but also a better future.
But there is more than just work. In my spare time, I like to be involved in sports. I am a fanatical tennis player; in the autumn and winter months I train every Sunday morning with nine other enthusiastic friends under the guidance of a professional trainer. The other months I can be found regularly on outdoor courts and occasionally pick up a tournament. I also enjoy cycling through the dunes on my mountain bike. Within fifteen minutes of my home, I can be in the beautiful dune area Meijendel. I also enjoy running (with our dog) every now and then.
I am also a real nature lover. I love going out on my own or together with my girlfriend. Nice walking or cycling areas can be found everywhere. And when walking, the binoculars always come along; I am a great birdwatcher and pretend to know quite a lot about birds.
Finally, I love music. I play piano and keyboard. Recently, I started playing keyboard in an amateur band with which we meet every other week to practise. We had our first performance this year. Super fun to do!
